Palin 'Didn't Know Africa Is a Continent'

Insiders spill beans on Mac's troublesome veep choice

Share

(Newser) – Sarah Palin's shaky grasp of geography stressed out the McCain campaign, the Chicago Tribune reports. A Fox News reporter, sworn to secrecy until after the election, said a campaign insider told him Palin was unaware that Africa was a continent rather than a single country, and she was unable to name the three members of NAFTA—Mexico, the US, and Canada.

Palin proved to be a nightmare for her campaign staff, according to the reporter. She blew off their suggestions that she put in prep work before her interview with Katie Couric—and then blamed her staff when she flubbed it. Palin also threw tantrums over her negative coverage in the media, accusing her staff of mishandling her and sometime reducing them to tears.

Credit the media for bringing this out because she wants to be the face of the Republican Party and also wanted to be in charge of the Senate. Conservative media wackos like Hanni9ty, Limbaugh, and Ingrahm still disparage Bill Clinton and its 8 years after his GREAT Presidency. I guess they must also forget about Georgie boy's embarassing 8 years bringing this nation down. You conservatives are really hipocritters. Reply

I think that infidel is still cying over spilled milk, the milk that Sarah stupid spilled. The reason so much is coming out about this woman is because she has voiced that she wants to run in 2012. My three year old nephew knows more about the world and much more about the United States than Sarah does. You guys bashed Obama for two years, guess now is the time for the media and not Sly Fox to bash the woman who would strive to be president. I feel sorry for McCain because in the end, his speech showed the true John McCain and much respect to him. Since the beginning of time it was always a woman who brought down a great man and in Johns case it was a stupid woman. Reply
