(Newser) – With the election over, what's more fun than calling out all those whose predictions were off—way off. Der Spiegel lists some highlights:

  • "He cannot win, Bill. He cannot win." Hillary Clinton, on Barack Obama
  • "We'll win Florida." Rudy Giuliani
  • "Virginians are really getting fired up for this ticket of McCain and Palin." George Allen
  • "Romney for the Republicans, Hillary for the Democrats." Ann Coulter, on the nominees

  • "The common sense of Americans will override curiosity about Barack Obama." Hugh Hewitt
  • Obama has "been dead in the water since the primaries." Rush Limbaugh
  • Americans "will cast their ballots for the McCain-Palin ticket." President Bush

We'll win Florida, Rudy Giuliani assured earlier. The swing state went to Obama.

McCain and Pallin should interview their supporters who bought guns, thought the world would end, the terrorists would take over D.C. and Obama would delete any mention of God in his speeches, etc. Those would make fantastic interviews.
