Cornyn May Delay Clinton Confirmation

Texas Republican unsatisfied with oversight of Bill's foundation

(Newser) – Easy confirmation is supposed to be a perk of appointing a senator well-liked by her peers. But John Cornyn of Texas is threatening to hold up a unanimous-consent agreement on confirming Clinton as secretary of State, Politico reports. Cornyn isn’t satisfied with Clinton’s proposal for oversight of her husband’s charitable foundation and has asked for revisions. “It’s his hope they’ll meet him halfway,” says a spokeswoman. If not, confirmation could get delayed until tomorrow.

It appears Mr. Cornyn is very petty and must have his 15 minutes of fame..to the detriment of the country. What if a crisis occurred today! Very possible in the world we live in. Shame on him. Reply

Obstruction just to be obstructionist. Yes, very constructive. Some people are lights; others are blackout curtains. Some people are roads; others have to be roadblocks just to be roadblocks. And that's why the country is in this state. That's why the world is in this state. Reply
