(Newser) – Rudy Giuliani’s third wife may be the mother of all liabilities for a candidate who’s already toting heavy baggage. Vanity Fair details her foibles and follies in a gossipy expose including the suggestion that the marriage has hit a rough spot. Judi, described as generally insufferable, is also charged with a history of anti-Semitic slurs.

New revelations about a “seven-year itch” entail reports of fights between the Giulianis and an alleged Rudy mistress, who denies the affair but suggests there’s other family dirt. Salon’s Joan Walsh reflects on the political fallout of the VF revelations, noting that it’s telling that so many friends and staffers are willing to badmouth the missus.
