Usher’s wife is in “stable condition” following an unidentified problem during surgery, People reports. A statement from the family said 37-year-old Tameka Raymond is resting after “suffering complications from routine surgery in Brazil. No further details will be released, and the family requests privacy at this difficult time.”
“Usher is with her at the hospital,” the rep added. The singer canceled his Grammy engagements Saturday after what Sony CEO Clive Davis called a "serious injury in the family.” Yesterday, Davis was in contact with the family. “I talked to his mom,” he said. “My thoughts are with them, whatever they're facing.”
