(Newser) – A horrified fashion designer dumped his publicist after Ashley Dupre got into his New York show last night, Women's Wear Daily reports. Yigal Azrouël was "shocked" to see Eliot Spitzer's ex-call girl sitting in the front row. "You have to understand, I'm putting so much effort into what I do that this is emotionally hard," he said. Azrouël dropped publicist Kelly Cutrone, who said Dupre had crashed the party.

Dupre admitted it. "We snuck in," she said, after she and manager Charles Suitt slipped into the Bryant Park tents. She was "really excited," but kept mum on future projects: "I'm not going to say what I'm doing—I want to give it a fair shot." Meanwhile, Cutrone was on damage control, saying Dupre "had never met Yigal, does not know Yigal and she was not wearing Yigal."
