S. African Crew Held in $360K Coke Haul

11 pounds of the drug discovered in suitcase

(Newser) – A South African Airways crew was arrested at Heathrow Airport yesterday after officials found almost $360,000 worth of cocaine on their plane, the BBC reports. Officers seized some 11 pounds of the drug from a suitcase stowed aboard the flight from Johannesburg. The 15 crew members, now in custody, will face questioning; crews are checked just like passengers when entering the UK, said an official.

get yourself a 2.5 gallon cornelius keg, a regulator and a co2 tank. Fill it with apple juice and carbonate it yourself. Stick it in a fridge in the garage and pour from a cobra tap. Enjoy.

So off-topic it's retarded: Seeing "South Africa" and "Coke" in the same sentence makes me think of a beverage they have down there that's better than anything I know about in the USA: "Appletiser" (think "Appletizer" in American), simply carbonated apple juice in a can... crisp, sparkling, 100% natural and more refreshing than any canned beverage I've tasted... We are missing out I tell you! (No, I don't have a few cases out in the back of my truck that I'll sell ya... but can you score me some??)

Kids who score well on IQ tests more likely to score drugs as adults

(NEWSER) - Smartypants kids are much more likely to use all sorts of illegal drugs as teenagers and adults, according to a new study of 8,000 Brits born in 1970. Five-year-olds who scored high IQ scores were more likely to have tried marijuana by age 16, reports the LA Times , and by age 30 high-IQ men were 46% more likely to have used amphetamines in the past year and 65% more likely to have used ecstasy. High-IQ women at age 30 were twice as likely to have used cocaine or marijuana in the previous year. More»
