Phoenix: Music Is My Legacy

Not my acting

(Newser) – Joaquin Phoenix thinks he’ll be remembered for his music, rather than his Oscar-nominated acting, he tells the Mirror. Phoenix is a lot wordier than he was in his monosyllabic appearance on Letterman, telling the paper he’s serious about becoming a rapper. “I feel like everything in my life is leading up to this,” he said.

“I imagine, when I look back on my life, acting will be a very small portion of something I did,” he noted. “I don’t think we’ll ever get to the reason, ‘Oh, that’s why he quit and this is why he’s doing this.’ I don’t fully understand it myself.” Of course, one prevailing theory is that this is all an act and that brother-in-law Casey Affleck is filming it all for a mockumentary.

I may have been a little hard on Joaquin. Maybe a brush and a little trim of the beard?

I heard they're now working on a Joaquin Phoenix action figure. The inside scoop on it says, it looks like a peeled potato that has been dropped from a thousand feet into a birds nest.
