Murdoch Sorry for Cartoon

Says it was only intended to mock stimulus

(Newser) – Rupert Murdoch eats some crow today, with a short statement in the New York Post apologizing for the now-infamous chimpanzee cartoon. “I have spoken to a number of people and I now better understand the hurt this cartoon has caused,” Murdoch writes. “The only intent of that cartoon was to mock a badly written piece of legislation. It was not meant to be racist.”

Primates have been used in political cartoons hundreds of times way before Obama. The only difference is that Obama is black, and Sharpton likes to make trouble.
