(Newser) – Terminally ill British reality star Jade Goody was christened today along with her sons in a ceremony at a London hospital chapel, the BBC reports. The “very pale and fragile” Goody had a “smile and a kiss for everyone” at the “very short and emotional service,” her publicist said. Attendees included the boys' father, Goody’s husband, and her mother. It was to be her last public event, the publicist noted.

The ceremony had been scheduled to take place in a church, but Goody was under heavy sedation. "Jade was obviously very happy with the whole thing," her publicist said. "I think everybody knew just how important it was to Jade." Goody is suffering from advanced cervical cancer and has 2 weeks to live, the BBC says.

Man that stuff just breaks my heart......it hits close to home....I had the experience of taking care of a young, vibrant beautifull 20 something year old, in the ER...complaint of (ill keep it clean) pelvic discomfort......The attending doc told her...there is something growing on your cervix...you need to get that checked out ASAP.......advice she ignored....was pregnant one month later, dead of cancer less than a year after she gave birth....all preventable if caught early....ladies PLEASE get a regular gyno check up...I don't care if your only a teenager....this tragedy started from HPV on this girl...aka genital warts....when she went it was in pain, and her lower abdomen was full of mush and tumors......leaving behind a little angel who will never really get to know her mother
