Stewart 'Incredibly Unfair,' Says NBC Chief

Share

(Newser) – NBC CEO Jeff Zucker said today that Jon Stewart’s Daily Show attacks are “incredibly unfair to CNBC and the business media,” Broadcasting & Cable reports. “CNBC is a spectacular organization and in particular Jim Cramer,” Zucker continued. “What is going on now is absurd.” The media isn’t responsible for the financial crisis, he said, in the same way it’s not to blame for the Iraq war.

What a load of crap. It drives me insane how all these rats refuse to admit their place in the grand scheme of things. Bush isn't responsible (so says Cheny), Obama isn't responsible, the bankers aren't responsible, the stock traders aren't responsible, the media isn't responsible. The only people to be blamed are naturally the poor. Reply

What if it's just capitalism that's to blame?

"A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship."
