Couple goes on Divorce Court to talk about lasting marriage

(Newser) – Disgraced pastor Ted Haggard and his wife are headed for Divorce Court, the Colorado Springs Gazette reports—but to plug the virtues of marriage and describe how his homosexual affair made theirs stronger. In a taping to air April 1, the New Life Church pastor says he asked Gayle Haggard to divorce him; she refused. “I see what happened as a divine rescue,” she says.

I really could care less, except that Haggard was one of the many people that made it more difficult for young g a y people to respect themselves and accept who they are. He did that knowing full well that it is not a choice. Ted Haggard is g a y and will always be g a y. He can choose to be abstinant, but he will ALWAYS be g a y. He has hurt many people with his hypocracy. Reply
