(Newser) – Jade Goody, the reality star who stirred up controversy—and then won the hearts of many during her public battle with cervical cancer—died yesterday. The Mirror remembers some of her most well-known quotes:

  • “Has Greece got its own moon?”
  • “Sherlock Holmes invented toilets.”
  • “Margaret Thatcher—ain't she a prostitute?”
  • “Mother Theresa is from Germany.”
  • “What is asparagus? Do you grow it?”
  • “A ferret is a bird.”

  • “I had my first birthday when I was one.”
  • “I am intelligent, but I let myself down because I can't speak properly or spell.”
  • “How comes Eskimos haven't turned into icy-cubes? Like, ice people? When they die where do they go? They can't get buried under the grass like we do. It's a whole new world this Eskimo world, it really is.”
  • “In a really ideal world, I'd like to have something done where they can sort out my brain. I have the correct wires but they just need rewiring and sorting out.”
