(Newser) – His investors may not have been the only ones Bernie Madoff cheated: sources tell the New York Daily News that the Ponzi schemer had at least one extramarital affair . He was involved with an executive assistant at a big media firm "eight or nine years ago," one insider tells the News. “He was quite generous with her. He used to fly her around,” the source said. Ruth Madoff found out and “kept him on a short leash after that,” said another.

Quite honestly, this is no biggie to me. Lots of people have affairs. That's the Madoff's personal business. We don't if Ruth Madoff had any affairs do we? Who was she with when he was off with his mistress(es)? Snatching billions of $$$ is the issue. I wish all Bernie Madoff was was a billionaire adulterer. How many of his victims wish the same?

(NEWSER) - The court-appointed trustee seeking to recover billions of dollars lost by Bernie Madoff is suing for $30 million that he says the Madoff family invested in oil, gas, and tech, reports the AP . The suit filed by trustee Irving Picard says the investments were used as vehicles to funnel money out of Madoff's business, and comes as a follow-up to the lawsuit he filed in November seeking nearly $200 million from Madoff family members who he said lived lavishly while using the family business like a "piggy bank."
