(Newser) – An ax-wielding Palestinian went on a rampage in a Jewish West Bank settlement today, killing an Israeli teenager and wounding a young boy before fleeing the area, the AP reports. Security guards shot and wounded the assailant before he could escape, and police are now hunting for him.

Police say both a knife and an ax were used in the attacks, which killed a 13-year-old and left a 7-year-old badly wounded. So far no group has claimed responsibility, but the attack is still likely to heighten tensions between the Palestinians and Israel’s new hard-line government.

This is the kind of thing that happens when you use religion as a tool of division. This could very well have been an Israeli going on a rampage. And don't think for a second this doesn't happen in the states. Just last year TN had a man attack fellow christians because they were not as conservative as his personal views...and this was on a Sunday.
