Vick's New Job: Construction Worker

Share

(Newser) – Lawyers for Michael Vick say the incarcerated football player “is going to turn a new leaf,” the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. In bankruptcy court in Virginia today, one of Vick’s attorneys said the convicted dogfighter has a $10-an-hour construction job lined up for him when he gets out of prison in a few months. Vick's agent testified that he could be back in the NFL in September, which would go a long way toward helping him settle with creditors.

Yes for dogfighting! Well deserved. jail time .. but don't put him in an industry with no jobs for real construction workers where he can take the food off their tables. Give him a job no one wants like picking up poop at a shelter.

Vick will be making millions before the years end. Sure, what ever team gets him will have protesters, but soon, that team will be kicking bad ass and the protesters will start to brag about how great their team is Reply

The NFL and other sports teaams alwys have room for those that have been incarcerated or Will be-as well as for those that abuse certain drugs-these men and women are in a business and a certain % are just as corrupt as our political leaders-in fact, there's an idea for a new career-senator Vick! I thought it was amusing that everyone overreacted on this case...in a league where it isn't too uncommon for a linebacker to shoot someone, people flipped out about dogfighting. Reply
