(Newser) – The Blue Jays third base coach accused two Yankees of "terrible" slides that endangered his middle infielders, a perpetuation of the bad blood between the teams that began with A-Rod's infielder-distracting yawp on May 30. Toronto second baseman Aaron Hill, however, has had enough of the sniping and the plunkings, calling the feud "stupid."

Pitcher Josh Towers also picked a bone with a Yankee—first base coach Tony Pena, who managed the Royals until 2005. Towers called Pena a "quitter," which prompted a sorrowful response from Joe Torre: "I’d like to believe it was an emotional thing that he was sorry he said the day after he said it."
