Oldest child expecting baby

(Newser) – The oldest of the Duggars’ 18 kids is starting the next generation. Joshua, 21, recently told his wife—too nervous to read the test results herself—"You’re going to join the Mommy team," he tells People. The pregnancy will be documented on the family’s TLC show, 18 Kids and Counting. “If they have a boy, they’re welcome to name him Jim Bob,” says Joshua’s dad—also named Jim Bob. The baby is due in October.

There is no need whatsoever to have that many children. Outside of a large family occupying a farm and working it, why are these people popping out all these kids? What will the Duggars do if there show is canceled?
