(Newser) – Don’t cross Gwyneth Paltrow or she’ll slam you in her online newsletter, Us reports. In her latest installment of Goop, Paltrow discusses an unnamed “frenemy” who was “hell-bent on taking me down.” When the mysterious frenemy had an “unfortunate and humiliating” experience, Gwyneth reacted with “deep relief and…happiness.” So who’s the subject of Paltrow’s poison pen? Bloggers are betting it’s erstwhile BFF Winona Ryder.

I was deeply upset, I was angry, I was all of those things you feel when you find out that someone you thought you liked was venomous and dangerous. I restrained myself from fighting back. I tried to take the high road. - Gwyneth Paltrow

But one day I heard that something unfortunate and humiliating had happened to this person. My reaction was deep relief and…happiness. There went the high road. - Gwyneth Paltrow

Newser's presentation of this story is dishonest. (And a case in point regarding what Paltrow is talking about.) Read the article and see that her "pen" is far from "poisonous". Reply

Yeah, she's got a human side... but I absolutely love this girl. I don't read her blog cause it's a little feminine for my tastes, but I haven't seen anything about her that I'm not wildly goopy about. Reply

Golly I agree with every last sentiment expressed above, TC... same feeling about her, same feeling about her blog.
