Meghan McCain: 'Old School' GOP 'Scared Sh**less'

Senator's daughter says there's 'a war brewing in the Republican Party'

(Newser) – Meghan McCain says “old school Republicans” are “scared shitless” of the future, Huffington Post reports. The new GOP it-girl told a friendly audience of Log Cabin Republicans that “too many Republicans want to cling to past successes. We’re seeing a war brewing in the Republican Party. But it is not between us and Democrats. It is between the future and the past.”

Slapping at Rush Limbaugh, McCain asserted that “most of our nation wants our nation to succeed,” and rebuked fellow Republicans for thinking technology will solve their problems: “Republicans using Twitter and Facebook isn't going to miraculously make people think we're cool again. Breaking free from obsolete positions and providing real solutions that don't divide our nation further will.”

Your party is becoming a regional party paul. I notice that you are in the heart of that region. Perhaps when more states fall to the blue wave you will begin to take it seriously.

Too bad the GOP is still hooked on the likes of Palin for the future. Hopefully McCain will wake up the GOP and drag them into reality. Someone like her I could vote Republican again. As long as they want to stay with the same old standards like Palin, Newt and Rush want then it will force me to vote elsewhere.
