Coleman Takes Vote Battle to Top State Court

Franken picks Senate staffers as rival refuses to concede

Share

(Newser) – Embattled former senator Norm Coleman is keeping alive the last fight of Election 2008 with an appeal to Minnesota's Supreme Court, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. Coleman is arguing that a lower court that awarded Al Franken a 312-vote victory denied constituents their constitutional rights by rejecting some absentee ballots. Franken, meanwhile, has started picking his Senate staffers.

This is the same old same old that the court has rejected. What we have now is the death throes of the Coleman legal effort.

Yes, the voters were denied their rights by not picking Coleman over Franken. Give it up Norm. You're done. Reply

Well, you do need to agree he did not have a chance since the person overseeing the election was a former ACORNut. That ballots are treated differently from precinct to precinct reeks of corruption. It's time to respect the citizens of the state and have a do over. Reply
