The University of Georgia professor suspected of shooting and killing his wife and two others last weekend remains at large, but authorities have finally found his car, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. The Jeep was discovered “well off the beaten path” in a wooded ravine near George Zinkhan’s house. Police have taken precautions in their manhunt, running “things a little different because this guy is dangerous,” a captain says.

Authorities are still searching the 200-acre wooded area near the car for Zinkhan, who allegedly opened fire on a community theater gathering while his children waited in the car. The rural area near Zinkhan’s house has many horse farms and open areas. A nearby school was locked down until police could search the campus. (More George Zinkhan stories.)
