(Newser) – President Obama’s new Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius made the talk show rounds today, insisting that people should continue traveling, despite remarks to the contrary by Joe Biden. “Traveling and being in close places is certainly something we encourage people to continue to do,” she told Fox News Sunday.

The fight to replace Justice David Souter began in earnest on the Sunday circuit today:

  • On ABC's This Week, Sen. Pat Leahy predicted Republicans wouldn’t filibuster whomever Obama chooses to replace Souter and denied that Dems tried the tactic during Samuel Alito’s nomination.
  • Mitt Romney said on CNN's State of the Union that if Obama’s nominee to replace doesn’t please Republicans, “We should stand up and scream long and hard.”
  • After switching political parties, Arlen Specter is a marked man: Nevada Sen. John Ensign told Fox, “We want to make sure that Arlen Specter is no longer in the United States Senate after the next election.”
