The world was rocked yesterday when news broke that Jennifer Aniston’s supposed “best friend,” Courtney Cox, spoke to Brad Pitt at a concert Sunday—but maybe it wasn’t a betrayal after all, Ian Undercover reports. “He said he made a mess of his life since leaving Jen and that he misses her a lot,” a friend of Cox said. “He also said he still loves her.” Elsewhere:
- Turns out Kiefer Sutherland doesn’t just play a tough guy on TV. The 24 star headbutted a guy Monday night to defend Brooke Shields’ honor—the designer allegedly knocked her down—but Shields denies being wronged, and isn’t sure why Sutherland went on the offensive, her reps tell TMZ.
- Not a great day for Madonna: Russian authorities called her planned concert there a “natural disaster,” the New York Post reports, and the alleged father of the Malawian child she wants to adopt called her “moral-less,” according to the Sun.
- Roberto Alomar, the ex-Met accused of having unprotected sex with his girlfriend while knowing he had AIDS, settled the lawsuit brought by his former girlfriend, the New York Daily News reports. No details were given.
