(Newser) – Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach Jon Gruden will replace Tony Kornheiser in the Monday Night Football booth, USA Today reports. Kornheiser, after 3 seasons, says the upcoming schedule would force him to give up the bus as his preferred travel method, and “my fear of planes is legendary.”

The 45-year-old Gruden, fired by the Buccaneers in January, is the perfect replacement, Kornheiser added: “He is the two things you most want—smart and funny—and has the two things I don’t—good hair and a tan.”
