Terminator Director Excuses Bale Rant

McG takes responsibility for leak

(Newser) Terminator Salvation director McG joined the Christian Bale Rant Apology Tour yesterday, telling MTV he takes responsibility. “I lead the way by having a big personality, having a strong opinion, and being very vocal on the set. I’m trying to wind everybody up to a level of adrenaline that would correspond to a war situation,” he said, adding that Bale’s in-character reaction was taken out of context.

“Effectively, we were making a war movie,” he continued. “So if I have a scene where I’m trying to ramp my actor up to be credible while in a foxhole, fighting for his life, I want everybody’s blood to be up.” The director worried other actors may now hold back out of fear: “You don’t want actors thinking twice about the manner in which they choose to express themselves.”

There's an easy way to solve the problem: don't go to his movies. Will that happen? No, just just accept it and move on.
