'Pro-Sex' McCain Talks Sex on Colbert

Also discusses gay marriage, but not Sarah Palin

(Newser) – Meghan McCain likes sex—a point she made several times last night on The Colbert Report, Gawker reports. Asked by host Stephen Colbert to explain her “pro-sex” stance, she started out by saying abstinence is unrealistic—and ended with “I would never want to practice anything I didn’t preach…” It was halfway into Colbert’s next question before she realized, “My father’s gonna watch that, God!”

“I don’t think he watches this show,” Colbert reassured her. After discussing gay marriage (“You’re more liberal than President Obama,” Colbert told pro-gay marriage McCain) and the GOP’s future (“I don’t believe Twittering is gonna make anyone think the Republican Party is cooler,” said McCain), and not discussing Sarah Palin, the conversation circled right back to sex: The GOP “can be a party for a 24-year-old pro-sex woman,” McCain insisted. "When you say 'pro-sex woman' I think the Republicans' numbers go north," quipped Colbert in response.

I wrote an article saying I’m pro-sex because after Bristol Palin went on her abstinence tour, I think that it is not realistic for this generation of people to be just plain abstinent. - Meghan McCain

I gotta tell ya, when you say pro-sex woman, I think the Republicans’ numbers go north. - Stephen Colbert

I guess that makes me partisan! Liberals are great though. Jesus hating baby killing billion spending welfare giving business stifling heavy drinking whole foods shopping pilates doing porn watching gun regulating terrorist loving gay marrying science understanding freaks. Please join us while Republicans search for their soul. You know you wanna get gay married, conservatives!

I am so incredibly anti republican that I don't even like Megan McCain! However, the democrats are also a bunch of tools. I am one of those Democrats who can't think of one Democrat that I like! I do think that the country will go for a fiscally conservative and socially liberal party. I think that a majority of people want responsible spending, low taxes, and personal freedom. If the republicans became champions of individual freedoms like privacy, choice, religious liberty, and speech they can keep their guns and their tax cuts and they would win. I am not saying that I would vote for them, just that a lot of people would. I am not so partisan however that I would not welcome a center shift in the republican party.
