Bitter Parker: 'I Was Goaded Into Nude Weeds Scene'

Producer insists it showed 'vulnerability'

(Newser) – Annoyed Weeds star Mary Louise Parker was "goaded" into a nude bathtub scene in the Showtime series about a pot-selling mom, she tells More. "I don't think I needed to be naked," she said. "I fought with the director about it, and now I am bitter. I wish I hadn't done that." A producer for Weeds, which begins its fifth season next month, insisted the scene was important to show the character's "vulnerability."

How fat was the "goading" check made out to her for doing the extra scene? Did somebody stand there with a shotgun making her do it? Did the writers/cast apply peer pressure? Goaded? Please.

Yes, the character's vulnerability to low ratings if she doesn't bare her body. It's all a part of the director's artistic vision, you see. Reply

what about the other nude scenes? oh, and the show took a left turn in the 4th season, very disappointing. Reply

Oh those dirty males. Poor thing...forced into doing on film what most of her compatriots do at work and on the street (ie, show off their T&A). Call Linda Lovelace for particulars about such history-revision. Yuk. If the world was only made of pure young women, there wouldn't need to be all this sex-stuff. Reply
