Specter Backs Pelosi in CIA Torture Flap

Cites agency's 'very bad record' on honesty, chides GOP for 'games'

Share

(Newser) – Arlen Specter defended Nancy Pelosi today against the CIA and former GOP colleagues he says are making a “political game” out of the interrogation debacle. “The CIA has a very bad record when it comes to honesty,” the Senate’s newest Democrat said. Specter charged that the agency repeatedly failed to inform him when he was chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee, Politico reports.

Specter says the CIA repeatedly failed to provide him available information when he chaired the Senate Intelligence Committee.

It's a real problem as to how you get the information.

I read a post of yours earlier today in which you actually sounded like a rational human being. What is it about Pelosi that turns you into a ranting, misonyginitic imbecile?

Perhaps Pelosi's stance is true... I was questioning her seeming floundering responses on the matter. Add to this, Specter's charge the agency repeatedly failed to inform him when he was chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee; a serious accusation. The CIA has little credibility in my eye's, given Iraq and 9/11. Reply

Newsflash dawg, Specter is a Senator, Pelosi is the Speaker of the House. Exactly how does she give him his seniority back? You can catch up on all this stuff by reading a little known (to conservatives) document called the "Constitution."
