(Newser) – The girlfriends of two accused synagogue bomb plotters say their beaus were duped by an overeager informant, the New York Daily News reports. "David is the most sensitive man I've ever met," said Cassandra McCoy of her Bronx boyfriend, David Williams. "He has three leatherbound books of poetry." Kathleen Baynes claimed that an informant called "Maqsood" lured boyfriend James Cromitie into the plot with food and marijuana.

"This is entrapment," she said. "They come and hit a brother who is down and out. I know something wasn't right with Maqsood from the beginning. He would call and say, 'I got lots of money. Anything you need I can give you, sister.'" Law enforcement says the informant was not allowed to pay anyone, and urged recruits to be "pure." Said Baynes: "It's all a lie."

Well, the stories from the girlfirends are bunk, but I've never seen or heard of a "pure" informant

Sounds like the FBI got it right this time. They were trying to buy a missile for Allah's sake.
