Pizzeria in Town Built by Domino's Chief Not Domino's

Share

(Newser) – The first pizza shop in Domino’s founder Thomas Monaghan’s Catholic university town of Ave Maria, Fla., will not be a Domino’s, the Fort Myers News-Press reports. Domino’s says the town is covered by another franchise’s delivery radius, and Ave Maria will get a Milano’s instead. And that sit-down restaurant serves alcohol. “Domino’s doesn't allow that,” said Monaghan, who sold Domino’s in 1998.

There are no plans to open a store in Ave Maria, Fla., because that community is already included within the delivery area of an existing store owned by a Domino's Pizza franchisee in Naples. - Tim McIntyre, Domino's corporate vice president of communications

Is Catholic pizza kosher? Does religion provide some sort of moral compass for people who don't have one of their own? Reply

When can I expect to hear that Monaghan either rapes little boys and/or impregnates women other than his wife and/or tortures Jews and/or sells 2 for 1 indulgences on Tuesdays? Reply

This is news? This is ridiculous. Also Anchower, that's a horrendous comment to make! Come on, people have a right to worship without being harassed, otherwise you're no better than the Spanish Inquisition. Reply
