Travolta 'Struggling' With Son's Death: Denzel

Share

(Newser) – Denzel Washington said today he recently spent hours on the phone listening to John Travolta grieve over the death of his son, People reports. "Needless to say, he's struggling," said Washington at a press conference for their film, Taking of Pelham 1 2 3. "So more than talking to him, I listened to him, for about two or three hours."

Washington's wife Pauletta was closer to Travolta before the shooting of Pelham last year, but "I know him pretty good now, I think," Washington said. On the phone, he and Travolta "would sing songs, [be] telling jokes and singing Broadway tunes and all kinds of stuff." Travolta son, Jett, died of a reported seizure at age 16 on a family vacation in the Bahamas in January.

Anyone who loses a child grieves... there's no comparison in life. You're an asshole, asschowder. I wouldn't wish the pain Travolta is experiencing, even on you. I'm no fan of Scientology, but that's his life and his choice. Grow up, get a life - beginning with some compassion, or STFU.

It doesn't matter what religion or if you are a turd. I am the mother of a son who left me way too soon. It never goes away and I believe it's been long enough that the shock is starting to wear off. It took me 6 months and I did go kinda looney, I'll never be the same and neither will he.

Go with your human side, atomick. Too bad some seem unable or unwilling to do so. Reply
