Jon: Kids Aren't 'Exploited'

(Newser) – Jon Gosselin would quit his hit TLC show before allowing it to impede his children's happiness, or so he tells People. “Exploited?” he asked. “I don't even want to use that word, because I think it's ridiculous.” Gosselin spoke without wife Kate, who, in a different interview with People, confessed that “Jon is confused and struggling with a lot of different things.”

thank you, sir. Whether I like the show or not, 8 kids is a hell of a lot to support on middle class wages. They did what they had to do and may not have necessarily gone about it in the right way, but they're giving their children tons of experiences and tons of love.

I think it's ironic that they are now asking for privacy when their whole life has been open to the public.

Actually, I thought they were exploiting the children from the beginning. I've only watched the show twice at my MIL's house. I couldn't stand her then, either. Maybe he did know her attitude, but maybe, as happens a LOT, the camera changes her personality. She seems to put him down to try and make herself come off better. And what about her alleged affair? And we should applaud her for quitting her job to take care of her children, their responsibility? I was a stay at home mom for a few years and didn't get a personal cheering section. It's a choice they made together for what should have been for the benefit of the entire family. I think she is a manipulative psycho who is willing to use whatever means necessary for fame and fortune. And I don't blame him at all!
