(Newser) – LeAnn Rimes responded to accusations that she's stalking her co-star and rumored lover—by not really responding. The singer tells People, “I’m a classy woman, I’m never going to battle anything out in the press.” Earlier yesterday, Rimes’ rep called the stalker comment, leveled by Eddie Cibrian’s wife, “incredibly defamatory.”

Rimes continued, “I have respect for everyone that is involved and everyone's family, including my own. I would never want to hurt my husband or anyone else with more lies dragged out in the press.”

It is what it is. I can’t control other people but I can control what I say and what I don’t. I refuse to get down on any one else’s level and I’m going to take the high road on everything. - LeAnn Rimes

Once you've slept with another woman's husband, is it possible to take the high road? I would have thought that ship had sailed.
