NC Man Solicited Wife's Rape on Craigslist: Cops

Was in the room as wife was attacked by knife-wielding man

Share

(Newser) – A North Carolina man faces first-degree rape charges after arranging for the rape of his wife via Craigslist, police said. The 25-year-old, who advertised for someone to have sex with his wife using “scare tactics,” was in the room as a man with a knife carried out the attack, the AP reports. The couple’s kids were also home at the time, though they weren’t aware of what was happening.

Uhm, hello? Are we sure this is a crime? Maybe the husband and wife negotiated this ahead of time. God people, get a grip and find out the fact before you get all "horrified" about someone else. And, by the way, parents have sex in a house where children are in another room ALL THE TIME. Reply

Yes, but sex and an arranged rape are somewhat different. And IF the husband and wife had arranged this beforehand, don't you think it's a little odd that she'd allow him to face first-degree rape charges? Maybe you need to get a grip and realize sex and rape ane NOT the same.

If this was not a crime, the husband would not have been charged with these felonies. Maybe it's you that needs to find out the facts before you dismiss horrific crimes as being negotiated sex between consenting adults. And, although "parents have sex in a house where children are in another room all the time," I don't think most parents allow rape in a house where their children are present. You, get a grip!

After watching a news report where the DA states the wife filed the report of the rape then the Detectives discovered the ad he "loving" husband had placed WITHOUT her knowledge or her consent. He had spoken to her about swinging but she declined, this was his attempt to spice things up? Personally? I think they should put ground glass in his Vaseline and send him to general population in the toughest prison they can muster. Reply

It is people like you that make rape seem like it is no big deal. Obviously it was a crime if the wife pressed charges. And don't you think it is odd that he would bring a knife to carry out his attack, if infact it was her choice? As a rape survivor I feel your comment is very hurtful. Rape and sexual assault is a horrific crime that takes part of a women's life away from her. It is something that we will never ever forget nomatter how hard we try. So I do believe you should get a grip. Reply
