Share

(Newser) – Pittsburgh celebrated its Stanley Cup-winning Penguins today with a parade that may have drawn upward of 350,000, the Post-Gazette reports. Revelers began arriving at the parade route in center-city at 4:30am, and by 10:15 there were already 185,000 happy fans. At a downtown Starbucks with lines out the door, an employee said they had run out of pastries: “That usually doesn’t happen.”

As a Chicago Blackhawk fan, I'm very glad that the Pens won the cup. Any Detroit loss is a good loss! Reply

Super Bowl in 2009, Stanley Cup in 2009. If only the Pirates can get their act together for a World Series in 2009. Reply

The Pirates already got as close as they're getting to a championship trophy this year. http://j.photos.cx/n13732078764_2791594_411381-4f1.jpg
