Police Say Mia Farrow's Brother Killed Himself

Share

(AP) – The death of actress Mia Farrow's brother has been ruled a suicide. Police say Patrick  Farrow, a 66-year-old sculptor, shot himself in his Vermont gallery Monday night. Police initially classified Farrow's death as suspicious, but later said the medical examiner's ruling of suicide was consistent with evidence found at the scene. He and Mia are the children of director John Farrow and actress Maureen O'Sullivan.

"The family of Patrick Farrow is grieving the tragic loss of their beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, who sadly chose to take his own life," said Mia Farrow's manager, Laura Berwick. "They greatly appreciate the support of their friends during this difficult time."

Unless you have been close to someone who chose suicide, you can never understand the depths of the thought process that leads to it. If you have no experience with this, then please don't comment on it. Reply

A bit pre-emptive, there, Dada. Why spray water before there is a fire?

I have had three suicides to deal with in my 40+ years. These people are sick, yes, but they are also selfish. They have no regard for the living they leave behind. A fatalistic sort of narcissism. Whatever it is, Mia's family is so effed up, this should come as no surprise.

Hi shonan. If you look at MrsK's response, you can see I clearly called this one.

...though she claims to have dealt with it, once again her inhumane insensitivity got the best of her.
