Iconic Baby, Now a Teen, Feels 'Creepy'

(Newser) – One of rock music’s most famous cover subjects is a little leery of his past. Spencer Elden was 3 months old when he appeared naked as a money-grubbing underwater baby on Nirvana’s Nevermind; now he says the photo, on an album that sold tens of millions of copies, may make him “the world’s biggest porn star,” MTV News reports.

The iconic image was worth just $200 to Elden's parents, who volunteered him for the aquatic shot taken by a close friend. Elden is a fan of Nirvana but isn't sure how he feels about being famous for being naked. He still likes the water, though: The 17-year-old Californian high school junior is a water polo player and surfer.
