(Newser) – At least ten more people are likely to be charged as the probe into Bernard Madoff's massive fraud continues, an insider tells AP. The only other person charged so far has been Madoff's accountant. The source declined to say whether the other people likely to face federal charges are relatives or former employees of the shamed financier, who was slapped with a 150-year sentence yesterday.

David Friehling, Bernard Madoff's longtime accountant, leaves federal court in New York earlier this year. Friehling is so far the only other person charged in connection with Madoff's Ponzi scheme.

Just ten more folks to be charged? Come on, it took a heck of a whole of other folks (I.E. accountants, lawyers, investment advisors, bankers, corporate executives, etc) to cover up a scheme like this. This should only be the tip of the iceberg. I just wish that Madoff were twenty to thirty years younger, so he could suffer longer. If it were up to me I’d put his wife and son’s in jail right along with him so that none of them could enjoy the wealth they stole. Madoff at his advanced age is getting off cheap –he’ll die of old age in prison within the couple to few years.
