Biden: 'SOB' Saddam 'Rolling Over in His Grave'

Share

(Newser) – Joe Biden presided over a huge naturalization ceremony in Baghdad today, CNN reports, as 237 US service members became American citizens. “We did it in Saddam’s palace,” Biden said, “and I can think of nothing better. That SOB is rolling over in his grave right now.” Biden called the newcomers the “lifeblood” of the country, adding, “there’s always room for more.”

“As corny as it sounds, damn I’m proud to be an American,” he said. “Thanks for choosing us. You are the reason America is strong.” Gen. Ray Odierno also spoke. He referenced the famous inscription on the Statue of Liberty but added, “to be honest I’m not sure it's applicable to this group. ... I don’t see them in terms of tired, poor, or huddled.”

Joe, "room for more" of young people to die for America? Hah, so now this country under Obama is even worse than under Bush. And we were promised change. Now we are proud to be in a palace that W acquired thru an unjust war. Go America - go Reply

Yes, we are definitely still feeling the after-effects from Bush right now during Obama's Presidency. George W. Bush destroyed this country. I imagine it's kinda hard to fix things after that coke head was in office.
