(Newser) – Honduras has been suspended from the Organization of American States for refusing to reinstate its ousted president, CNN reports. The OAS had given the country’s new leaders until yesterday to hand power back to Jose Manuel Zelaya. Meanwhile, thousands held an airport demonstration to support Zelaya, who says he’ll return to Honduras from Costa Rica today. The new president says he’ll be arrested if he does.

The proper course of action would have been impeachment, if Zelaya were indeed guilty of unconstitutional actions. The usurpers lost all credibility with their kidnapping and expulsion of the president. Why is this simple fact so difficult for our right wing pundits and politicians to understand. to understand. Good for the OAS.

I would add that the Honduran government left all affiliations the day they arrested their legally elected president.

I think it's more of a "You can't quit! You're fired!" kinda thing.
