(Newser) – Washington DC's most-wanted politician, Marion Barry, has again found himself on the wrong side of the law, reports the Washington Post. Police busted the 73-year-old councilmember and former mayor last night after a woman complained he was "bothering her" as the two traveled in separate vehicles in a DC park. Barry was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor stalking count.

Police later released Barry, who will probably appear in court later this week. Barry has had many previous run-ins with the law—he’s currently on probation for tax offenses. Police wouldn’t reveal the woman’s relationship with Barry, and his lawyer was still trying to "find out what's going on” late last night.

Really. What's up with that? I think that there are more than enough Rush Limbaughs and OJ Simpsons to prove that money and influence still carry the day.
