Preston to Open Up About Jett

Wants to help other women with grief through her story

Share

(Newser) – Kelly Preston will speak publicly for the first time about the death of her son, Jett Travolta, at an event in October, People reports. “If she can empower one other woman who feels like they can’t get out of bed, or get through the day, whatever the loss, it'll be worthwhile sharing her story,” says California first lady Maria Shriver, host of the Governor’s Conference for Women.

Elizabeth Edwards, who also lost a son, will join Preston on the “Grief & Resilience” panel. “She has been thinking about this for a couple of months,” Shriver says of Preston, and “decided if she was only going to speak once, it would be here. She wants the conversation to be about more than just her.” Meghan McCain, Caroline Kennedy, and Kate Gosselin are among other conference participants.

I hope that this conversation will serve, as well as helping Kelly to greive, as the death blow to scientology. Reply

Sounds like a beautiful if touching conversation, one I might wish to hear, right up to when they mentioned the other attendees (Meghan McCain, Caroline Kennedy, and Kate Gosselin). WTF? Reply

You don't think Caroline Kennedy knows a little something about grief?
