Obama Is Not a Horndog; Sarkozy, Well ...

(Newser) – A video of President Obama and Nicolas Sarkozy at yesterday's "Junior 8" G8 event has Matt Drudge and his buddies in a lather, but it's not quite as incriminating as a still photo makes it out to be, John Cook blogs for Gawker. "We undertook a Zapruder treatment" that exonerates Obama in the Case of the Surreptitious Check-Out, he writes.

Cook's painstaking breakdown reveals that:

  • The apparent object of his attention "was not in Obama's field of vision prior to the initiation of his head-turn," which means he wasn't "turning his head to get a better look."
  • To see "what it looks like when someone takes a gander of a lady's ass," the person to concentrate on is Sarkozy, not Obama.
  • The key conclusion: "The photograph appears to show Obama craning his neck to check out Woman B's ass, when in fact the moment is a chance alignment of ass and visual field that any man knows as a freebie."

Wow did no one even watch the video reflected in the picture? The President walked down the stairs turned in the same direction of the passing woman, and extended his arm out for the woman he knew was walking down the stairs on his right. Way to much drama in your life if you have to make it out to be more than it is.

Shona- that is the best thing about commenting, ever. Unhappily, I admit that you are sooo right. I lazily comment on everything while I'm working. Thankfully I work for myself but even myself should be more focused.

There is a pretty good chance he was checking out that young lady's (rather fine) ass. SO WHAT? Seriously, they guy has spent a day in a meeting about global economics... a sight like that on the way out is just a welcome treat. He's not hitting on here. He's not getting blown in the Oval. He's doing what 100% of men do the whole world over...... I get holding our 'leaders' to a higher standard, I do. But if we hold that bar too high, there is no chance anyone will achieve the goals we set them.
