Sanford Takes Another Quick Trip—With His Wife
Gov. postpones economic talks as SC unemployment surges

Mark Sanford is canceling state business to take another abrupt trip, but this time his wife is going along, the Greenville News reports. The South Carolina governor will be gone with wife Jenny the rest of the week, forcing the postponement of several meetings. His staff is in contact with him—not the case on his infamous and adulterous trip to Argentina—but they're not divulging much.
“Out of respect for privacy we’re not going to discuss details,” said a spokesman. “The governor remains committed to repairing the damage he has done to his marriage and so it shouldn’t be any surprise that spending personal time with his wife is part of that process.”
