Forget Best: Colbert Wants to Be Worst

Demands title from Olbermann over sweet-talking email to Mark Sanford

Share

(Newser) – Stephen Colbert is a glutton for punishment. Keith Olbermann dished some out to conservative media outlets Tuesday, spanking them for plying Gov. Mark Sanford with email offers of friendly treatment, and awarding them “Worst People in the World” honors. But he omitted Colbert, despite Colbert’s email offering Sanford “a friendly place to make light of what I think is a small story that got blown out of scale.” Colbert, in turn, demanded Olbermann give him full credit.

“I wasn’t just offering Sanford some journalistic stroke job. In my next email, I offered him a literal stroke job,” Colbert asserted last night. “Why not hold me to the same standards as others in the conservative media? Keith Olbermann, I demand you name me the worst person in the world.” He then hit a baby with a puppy to prove his point.

This country is laughing its way into extinction. Its going to be a real gut-buster when we all wake up in the New World Order: "Oops, we've all been duped. Our money has been stolen by the banksters, we've been taxed into the poorhouse, our Constitutional republic has been destroyed and we live in neo-serfdom. How utterly hilarious." Har-dee-har indeed.
