Jindal: Dems' Health Care Reform 'Devastating'

Share

(Newser) – President Obama “is currently just flinging stuff against the wall, in trillion-dollar chunks, to see what sticks,” and his plans for health care are no different, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal writes on Politico. Thanks to failed bailouts and a “trillion-dollar stimulus that has not stimulated,” America is up to its neck in deficits, and the Democrats’ health plans will drive up costs and decrease quality. "This here is a fine pot of gumbo," scolds Jindal, a GOP hopeful for 2012.

The real shame is that Americans do want reform, but “reform that reduces costs, improves outcomes and puts patients in control.” Instead, Democrats are trying to push Americans into government-run care. "Businesses will, in effect, be forced to send employees into the Democrats’ government-run health care," he writes. "It’s really not something to argue about, it is a fact."

If the House Democrats’ plan were to become law, the president’s statement that 'if you like your health care now, you can keep it' will not be true. This is not an opinion, this is a fact. - Bobby Jindal

The government now wants to make sure you, and every other American, pay more in energy costs so former Vice President Al Gore can be happy.
- Bobby Jindal

And this political a$$wipe didn't even know why they needed volcano monitoring systems in Alaska when he gave his "touching" speech for his address to the nation inthe so called Loyal Opposition, they are loyal only unto themselves and their wallets. Screw the country and people as long as "I" make a profit is the Republican motto. Reply

@WRAITH talk to the unions in NY about the WTC memorial. They are the ones holding up getting that finished. New Orleans is being rebuilt but again FEMA is still withholding 4 Billion dollars that Bush designated to go there.

"as long as I make a profit" what fool would state such a thing? Especially about republicans who statistically give much more to charities than do liberals.

Mr. C, state your source for Republicans giving more than "liberals". Do you include all Democrats as "liberals". If so, again, state your source.
