Same-Name Couple to Wed After Meeting on Facebook

Kelly Hildebrandt (F) made the first move

(Newser) – Kelly Hildebrandt found her soon-to-be husband on Facebook—but not in the usual ways, such as through college or friends in common, the AP reports. The 20-year-old Floridian plugged her name into the social-networking site’s search engine and found the only match at the time—Texan Kelly Carl Hildebrandt. Intrigued, she sent him a message: “Hi. We had the same name. Thought it was cool.”

"I thought she was pretty cute," says Kelly Carl, 24. But “I thought, man, we've got to be related or something." The couple will get married in South Florida, and plans not to add to the confusion by passing along the name. "No," Kelly said. "We're definitely not going to name our kids Kelly."

I do not support Same-Name marriage. It undermines different name marriage.

Assuming Spydiggity is a wookie or a princess, of course! Or you could always move to Massachusetts. (See below.)
