Porn cost Scott Janke his job. He didn’t download it at work, but he did marry an adult video star. The Fort Myers Beach, Fla., town manager and Anabela Mota (stage name: Jazella Moore) wed last year, but the mayor and council members didn't hear about it until Tuesday, the News-Press reports. Hours later, they voted unanimously to fire Janke “without cause."
“At no time did we make a judgment call on the activities of Mr. Janke or his wife,” the mayor, who acknowledges Scott Janke didn’t break any rules, tells the AP. "It’s a matter of how effective he becomes after this situation. How much disruption there is.” Says Janke, who will receive a severance package, “Our heads are held high. We’ve done nothing wrong.”
