Beck Loses Advertisers for Calling Obama a Racist

Share

(Newser) – Glenn Beck's assertion that President Obama is a racist is rattling at least a few advertisers. Procter & Gamble, Progressive Insurance, and Lawyers.com have stopped running ads on Beck's Fox show, reports the TV Newser blog on Mediabistro. The network itself isn't hurting, however: A spokesman says the companies have simply moved their ads to different shows. Groups such as ColorofChange.org are pressuring advertisers to punish Beck.

Ahhh Glenn Beck. My favorite unhinged zealot of all. This guy has some real poison in his brain. A classic example of a person with no self control projecting their inadequacies on the rest of the world. I don't see how any responsible company could sponsor him and his distorted world view. Reply

Mahalo newser for bringing colorofchange to my attention. Beck's outrageous statement about a racist Obama is unforgiveable. I wouldn't care if he apologized crawling on his knees while allowing Oprah to flaggelate him up and down Pennsylvania Avenue every day for a year. I will forgive Beck the day the Jews forgive Hitler. (Actually, I stole that from my redneck Vietnam Vet cousin -- substitute Jane Fonda for Beck and you'll have the wording of his favorite patch on his leather Harley Davidson motorcycle vest.

If I were leading an oligarchy intent on controlling the populace, you know how I would keep the people under my thumb, distracted and dumb, while I advanced my own agenda? I would keep them divided with bi-polar partisanship, taking sides. It would be so easy, with pocket pundits, and morally bankrupt media companies, like dogs barking at each other. I'd play on the peoples emotions from both sides of each issue, letting their desires do my work for me. And while they were distracted, thinking they were fighting for something, I would quietly run their lives, deciding who lives, and who dies

.......and if I were a troll, netstorm, I would keep cutting and pasting the same comment no matter what the news article was referring to because I didn't really have anything to add to the discussion!
